Do You Mind Waiting?

Do you mind waiting on the Lord until His promises manifest in your life? Do you mind still holding on to His Word no matter what happens in life?

The devil may leave you and start minding his own business when he realizes that no matter how long the blessings and promises of God may delay in your life, you will not mind waiting for them.

5 Elements of Waiting

1. Purpose

Do you know the reason for which you are waiting on the Lord? If you know the purpose of God for your life, then you will not be tired for waiting even if the promises for your life are overly delayed. In Jeremiah 29:11, God assures us that He knows the plans He has for us, they are good and peaceful plans to lead us to a prosperous future. Do you know the purpose of God for your life? If only you know, then you will not mind waiting on the Lord.

2. Trust

You will not wait for someone that long if you really don’t trust the person. The good news is that, our God never fails. Keep your hope and trust in God alive for He never fails and disappoints. Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways, acknowledge Him and He shall direct your paths (Proverbs 3:5-6)

3. Faith

Sometimes, your unwavering faith in God and His Word has the power to pull down your blessings earlier than you think. Without faith, it is impossible to please the Lord (Hebrews 11:6). Those who do not mind waiting on the Lord are those who are not just waiting but having expectations with faith.

4. Patience

There is no way you can wait for someone if you do not have the patience to wait for that long. Many people know how to fast and pray to request for some blessings but do not know how to wait and receive the blessings from God. It seems like many people are in a hurry in life too much and cannot simply afford to wait on the Lord.

As a result, many people resort to so many devilish means for quick success, wealth, marriage and childbearing. Do you mind waiting on the Lord? If yes, then be patient enough. Has He not said it and will He not do it for you?

5. Credible Records

If Bill Gates, Richard Branson, President Obama and any of the world’s richest men and popularly known philanthropists had promised to meet you at dinner and give you $10m, I’m sure you will surely wait until the person arrives even to the deepest time of the night. Why will you wait? These people have a trade mark, a good image, a brand and a trusted reputation or records in these benevolent acts.

Check the records, God never disappoints. If only you do not mind waiting then He will surely visit you.

Do you mind waiting on the Lord no matter what happens? Do you have the patience and the faith to still trust Him even if the blessings are overly delayed?

Do not be in a hurry in life. God’s timings are perfect. No shortcut in life ever pays well. If you do not mind hoping, trusting and having the patience to wait enough then you may miss the mark.
