This article: “How To Know You Are A Blessing To People” is one of the articles I wrote out of my diverse experiences in meeting people. You can never know the extent to which your life has been a blessing to someone because a lot is left unsaid than what we hear from people. Words like “Thank God I met you”, is a clear indication that you have been a blessing to someone. It is an expression of gratitude. However, many people have been a blessing to others but had the least idea about it because a lot of the things people do are left unsaid.
Although it will be difficult to know the extent to which you are a blessing to others, here are some of the things that should give you a clue as to whether you are a blessing to other people in your life. When you are done reading, kindly add your own views about how to know you are a blessing to people.
How To Know You Are A Blessing To People
1. When people repeatedly tell you that you are a blessing to them
Sometimes, the words of beneficiaries from your acts could give you an idea about how people see and value you. Any time you hear words like: “Thank God I met you”, “you just made my day”, I thank God for your life”, and several others.
2. When people write about you or get you published
Any time people begin to write and publish you about how helpful and generous you were to an individual, group of persons or the community, it means you are a blessing to such beneficiaries. History is littered with so many people who got published for their acts of benevolence to the society.
3. When people name their children and monuments after you
One of the biggest honour done a person who has been a blessing to you is to name your children after them. It is an attempt to honour them and to ensure that their name will not be lost.
4. When people allude their success to you
I have come across many people who allude the secrets of their success to other people they met or learnt from. Know that you are a blessing to your generation any time people give testimonies and allude their exploits to the pieces of advice, motivation and support you provided in diverse ways.
5. You seek the welfare of people and have them at heart.
It is one thing to value people, have them in your heart and another thing to make sure their welfare needs are met. You are a blessing to people if you do even more than these.
6. You have the heart of service to mankind
If you are the type that easily assist people whether you are called on or not, then note that you are really a blessing to people. You have the heart of service. Sometimes, your services are needed than money. It is not even a bother to you whether people remain grateful to you or appreciate your efforts; your joy and fulfilment lie in seeing people relieved from their troubles. The disappointments from people never discourages you; your passion is seeing that smile or happiness on the faces of people. Beat your chest and say, “I am a blessing to people” if you are being described here.
7. When you sacrifice yourself, time and resource just to make others happy
If you are the type that can sacrifice and devote your time and resources to visit and attend to people then you are a blessing. Everyone seems busy and minding his or her own business but it takes people who are really a blessing to others to do this.
8. When you save people from a terrible situation
When you save people from the worst situation in which they were at their wits end, you become a great blessing to them. Life is all about living for one another and not only for yourself.
9. You freely donate to the less privileged, family, friends and for other projects
Many achievers have established some foundations to assist the less privileged in life. There are some people that are always giving a portion of their monthly salaries to the poor, family and friends. You are a blessing to people if you take delight in giving to people in this regard.
10. When you singlehandedly sponsor an event
Have you singlehandedly established a school, a library, hospital, police station and other facilities for your community without expecting a dime in return? Have you singlehandedly sponsored an event to assist a particular group of people say the youth, aged, pregnant women, teenage girls, etc? You are a blessing to people if you do any of these and even more than these.
